How can we increase the chances of acceptance in Express Entry lotteries?

As you know, in Express Entry draws, points play a significant role, and these draws are point-based. You are selected in these draws based on your skills and points. In fact, the higher your score in this program, the greater your chances of acceptance.

In the initial registration stage, six factors, including language proficiency, educational level, work experience, age, job offer from Canada, marital status, etc., are evaluated. The accumulated points in these factors determine your eligibility and likelihood of being selected in the Express Entry draws.

There are certain criteria that, by enhancing and improving them, you can increase your points and chances of acceptance in these Express Entry draws. These factors include:

Improving Language Score:

  • Language proficiency is crucial for the Express Entry draw in Canada, considering proficiency in English and French. In this stage, all four language skills (Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking) are important.

Providing a Second Language Certificate (English or French):

  • If you have presented a certificate for your proficiency in the first language as English, you can increase your chances by providing a second language certificate in French, and vice versa.

Enhancing Educational Credentials:

  • In this stage, individuals can earn high scores based on their educational credentials. It’s worth noting that educational credentials obtained outside Canada must be verified by the legal authorities of the country.

Increasing Work Experience:

  • This work experience must be full-time and a minimum of 30 hours per week. Concurrent work with studies in Canada cannot be counted as work experience.

Receiving a Job Offer from a Canadian Employer:

  • If the applicant has a job offer in Canada for a minimum duration of one year, they can earn additional points at this stage. Note that this job offer must be issued before participating in the Express Entry draw.

Having Education and Work Experience in Canada:

  • Having a history of education and/or work in Canada can increase your points and have a positive impact on your total score.
