*Not having a language certificate in English or French for candidates who are older than 18 years old, increases the risk of visa rejection.

Canadian college tuition:

The tuition for colleges in Canada varies from 8,000 to 18,000 CAD per year. It depends on the degree, field, and the duration of the study. Sometimes the candidates think the Public colleges’ tuition is less than the Private ones. It is not true for international students, and he/she may find a Private college with less tuition fee.

International students have to pay more in comparison with Canadian students. But their costs will be lower than the cost which they have in The United Arab Emirates, Australia, and The United Kingdom. The main reason is that the Canadian dollar is less than other currencies.

Classes: Private college accepts fewer students than a public one. It allows both students and teachers to concentrate more on what they are learning and teaching.

Approved colleges by Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada:

The students have to study in Designated Learning Institutions(DLI). So they have to fill out the application for DLI. If the candidate wants to continue in primary and secondary schools, it is no need to study in DLI.

Working while Studying:

Students are allowed to work 20 hours a week while studying and also can work full time during their holidays.

*Students who finished their previous study out of Canada, have to evaluate their degree by Educational Credential Assessment report. Students who graduated from DLI do not need Educational Credential Assessment.

Work Permit after graduation:

Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada try to keep the graduated international students by letting them work in Canada. This visa is called the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program(PGWPP). The candidates who graduated in their higher education in Canada can apply for this program.

Permanent Residency after graduating:

In 2019 about 60 percent of international students show their interest in getting their permanent residency in Canada. Canada allows international students to work while studying, then obtain a Post-Graduation Work Permit, and after that offers them more than 80 of immigration programs. For example in 2019, the Canadian Experience Program, which is an Express Entry sub-category and is designed for international students and skilled workers, made up 34 percent of the Express Entry program.

Competition between Canada provinces to attract more students:

Ontario has about 307,000 students(48 percent), ranked as the first province in 2019. The second province is British Colombia and the third is Quebec. Manitoba and Nova Scotia with about 19,000 students are very successful in attracting international students.

Spouse Visa:

If the main candidate is married, his/her spouse can work in Canada with an Open Work Permit. Also, he/she does not need a language certificate.

Dependent Children Visa:

If the main applicant has children under 18 years old, his/her children can come with the candidate to Canada and study in Canada schools for free.
